MY SHEEP KNOW ME AND I KNOW THEM

Isaiah and Jesus
It doesn't matter whether you are a sheep or a goat.  There is always time to find the fold and make yourself at home there in peace and love.

Two thoughts have been struggling for my predilection this weekend of the Good Shepherd.  They are both very significant in their meaning.
The voice that we know and are accustomed to and the voice that is new but has the accent and the power of the one with which we are already familiar.  In the case of the latter, the new voice we heard was that of an 8 year old child who spoke with the tone, rhythm and vibes of the Master.  We knew that we were listening to God talking.  We knew that this was worthy of the praise given to the Child who impressed the leaders of the Temple.  Yes, "No more hurting people. Peace" is divine advice and it will never go out of style.

Finally, it was during the semi-monthly formation meeting of the Lay La Salette community that one brother said, "You know the Good Shepherd's voice because it is the one that you hear when you are carrying His message to others."
